Dr. Sergey Macheret is a distinguished researcher and innovator in the fields of plasma science and aerospace engineering, recognized as a Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA). He completed his M.S. at the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and earned his Ph.D. from the Kurchatov Institute of Atomic Energy. After relocating to the United States in 1991, Dr. Macheret has held prominent academic roles at Ohio State University, Princeton University, and Purdue University, where he was a professor in the departments of Aeronautics, Astronautics, Electrical, and Computer Engineering.
