Dr. Sergey Macheret is an internationally recognized expert and pioneer in plasma science and aerospace engineering. A Fellow of the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA), Dr. Macheret earned his Master’s degree from the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology and his Ph.D. from the Kurchatov Institute of Atomic Energy. After moving to the United States in 1991, he contributed significantly to research and education through positions at Ohio State University, Princeton University, and Purdue University, serving as Professor of Aeronautics, Astronautics, Electrical, and Computer Engineering.
